The iOS is another Operating system and smartphone developed by Apple. The most current version is the 5.0 and the Operating System Family is Mac X. It is supported by the ARM. Apple is constantly coming out with new smartphones and new operating systems. This helps keep the technology field growing and the demand for more smartphones by the public. Features of the iOS Smartphone
Camera: The camera is rated one of the best features on the iOS Smartphone. Apple has really worked hard to have an integrated camera app that is based on simple and effective upgrades. The newest Operating System is the iOS 5 and Apple has upgraded yet again but this time there are more features such as taking a photo that is guided by grid lines, you also have the capability to lock the auto focus and exposure for your entire picture taking. One of the newest features of the Camera is the Photo stream, this works with the iCloud Service and how it works is this, you can download any picture you take on your phone that is linked to the iCloud that you set up. Technology is wonderful.
Web Browser: Apple is using the Safari Web Browser, there have been some additions and some upgrade to the browser. One of these changes is the tabbed browser is here on the smartphone, this will help create a better user experience. Any opened web pages can be accessed and then shown in a single browser window. With Safari, there is a feature called the Reader, the reader lets the user see articles that appear on websites after taking off all of the ads and clutter that ends up blocking a good portion of the screen which is not very big to begin with.
Wi Fi Sync: With all of the great new features of the iOS Smartphone, some say that the most unnoticed new feature is the Wi-Fi Sync. This provides the user access to wirelessly sync together their iOS phone with their Mac or even PC by simply using a shared Wi Fi connection. With this new feature, Apple is working on the need for wires when using their products. If you are always running from place to place and always busy then this feature will work wonders for you.
Some of the other features offered on this smartphone are the
- Notification Widgets: This is available on the Version 5 and some of these widgets include Stocks, Weather, Clock and Email icon. There are no Desktop Interactive Widgets available at this time
- Interchangeable External Cards: This is only available for the Picture and Video Import but there are optional accessories available.
- Tethering: The iOS can be tethered with Bluetooth, a carrier Dependent USB Cable, a Personal Hotspot Wi Fi.
