Screens On Smart Phones: Touch Screen Versus Non-Touch Screen
There are two different styles of Smart Phones, the kind that have Touch Screen technology and those that are Non touch Screen Technology. Each style of phone has its own advantages and their own disadvantages. When you are shopping for a smart phone, this key feature is something that you have to decide if you prefer the touch or non-touch screen phones. Everyone has their own preference and some like the idea of a touch screen but is it really worth the money you are spending?
Smart Phones with Non Touch Screen
Smart Phones that are designed with a physical keyboard are becoming the less popular choice and the reason may be as easy as people want to have current technology as opposed to something that may have a better quality. One of the great advantages of having a physical keyboard is that users tend to make fewer mistakes. People are used to texting on phones that have keyboards and it can very kind of hard to get use something else. Using a Non Touch Screen it may be easier to type in things like passwords and log in information.
You have a reduced chance of hitting other keys with a physical phone than you do with a touch screen. Though there are some smart phones that are in need of more room for more features that the keyboards may be getting increasingly smaller.
Smart Phones With Touch Screen
The more current Smart Phones are all designed with Touch Screen technology. Some of the advantages of these phones include a bigger screen that is better suited for searching the Internet, taking pictures and watching movies. Another advantage is that devices with Touch Screen technology have easier user interfaces, which are smarter than other types of phones; an example of this is the iPhone. With touch screen, there are fewer parts to break on the phone and they say the device itself lasts longer.
A disadvantage is that the screens get dirty with fingerprints quickly. The battery life of your smart phone decreases with the use of the touch screen. Touch Screen Phones do not have additional keys and the reason why this is bad is because if you have an app that crashes it may be difficult to get back to the main menu since you would have to touch the screen to get there. Another disadvantage of the touch screen is that the virtual keyboard takes up half of the screen leaving very little viewing room.
Having a smart phone is great; there are hundreds of different things that you can use with them. They also cost hundreds of dollars to buy one and then you have to pay the monthly plan, which can cost over $ 150 a month just for using the phone. Read the consumer reports of the smart phones before buying one, first decide which technology you would rather have Touch Screen or Non Touch Screen technology?
